Welcome to Medina County's Employee Wellness Web Site
Live well. Eat well. Be well.
Three
simple statements: Direct. Virtuous. Candid. Easily understood in concept.
Not so much in application.
For most, our lives are multifaceted. Between job and family, there's an insatiable smorgasbord of activities that await. Ranging from serving as chauffeurs, shoppers, committee members, civic leaders, coaches, cooks, tutors, hospital/church volunteers, baby sitters, caregivers, psychoanalysts, conflict mediators, pet groomers, lawn and garden experts, home remodeling/repair professionals, mechanics, spectators for the kids' various activities, events and recitals, etc., etc. etc. (you get the picture), to trying to squeeze-in five to six hours of sleep before it starts all over the next day.
In today’s high pressure, high performance, multi-tasking atmosphere, it's sometimes difficult for county employees to find the time, information or incentive to maintain good health. But there's some good news to help you take the steps to leading a healthier lifestyle!
Medical Mutual of
Ohio (MMO) has partnered with Medina County to promote employee
wellness through their SuperWell Wellness Program, SuperWell for
short.

SuperWell will provide you with programs and activities geared toward inspiring healthy behavioral changes to enhance the quality of your life and to encourage you to get well and stay well. In the coming months you'll have access to various products and services that include a healthy selection of onsite and online programs for you and your co-workers who are ready to make an impact on their well-being.
In the meantime, a Wellness Committee has been formed to assist in getting our wellness program up and running. The Committee will serve several functions. First, it will help assure that the program is responsive to the needs of all potential participants. Second, the Committee will encourage “buy-in” from our elected officials, management and potential program participants. And third, the Committee will be charged with the initial planning processes for implementing future programs and activities.
The Committee is your voice, your representative. Please feel free to contact any of the names listed below with your ideas, thoughts or suggestions as our SuperWell initiatives move forward.
On September 10th, County employees received a flyer with their paychecks announcing a new Wellness Program initiative called "Commit to Quit".
Under the auspices of the Medina County Drug Abuse Commission (MCDAC) and its director, Mr. Brian Nowak, Medina County employees, along with their family members have an exclusive opportunity to kick their smoking habit with absolutely no out-of-pocket cost for Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products.
