The Medina County Board of
Commissioners seeks a Chief
Building Official to manage Medina Countyís building
Plans, organizes, directs, and manages the activities of the Building
Department in such areas as conformance to residential and commercial
building codes and regulations, public counter services, plan review,
building inspection, code enforcement, and records management. Advances the practice of exceptional customer service through timely
to contractor / public requests and complaints.

certification as a Building official granted by the Ohio Board of Building
Standards, plus: EITHER a
Bachelorís degree from an accredited college or university in Construction
Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field and 5 years
of progressively responsible experience in construction or building
inspection/plan review; OR a
high school graduate or equivalent and compliance with Ohio Building Code
standards of at least 5 years of experience in building design and
construction or at least 10 years of experience as a construction
contractor or superintendent of building construction.
